ALIES is a collaborative research partner of CBIOS (Research Center for Biosciences and Health Technologies) the research unit of the School of Health Sciences and Technologies (U Lusofona). All ethical issues related with research, involving human participants, experimental animals, or other are previously submitted to the Ethical Commission’s (EC) of the School of Health Sciences and Technologies (U Lusofona).
The EC’s main goal is to evaluate and supervise, in ethical terms, all research projects and related experimental protocols involving developed under that partnership established between this non-profit organization ALIES and COFAC (Cooperativa de Formação e Animação Cultural CRL), the responsible entity for Universidade Lusófona and CBIOS
Ratified by the University’s governing bodies in February 10th, 2004 and registered in the Ethics Nacional Commision for Health Sciences (CNEV) since May 2005, the present constitution of this EC was ratified by the Rector determination in July 18th.2019 as follows:
