Luis Monteiro Rodrigues |
Founder and Executive Director of ALIES Professor of Human Physiology and Pathology, started his academic career at the University of Lisboa where he obtained his PhD (1992) . Cooperation with Group Lusófona dates from 1997 when the basis of the group’s health project where set. He currently leads CBIOS – The U Lusofona’s Research Center in Biosciences and Health Technologies, and manages the PhD Program in Health Sciences with the U Alcalá (Spain). Produced more than 450 science papers in specialized journals, and about 400 communications (national and international). Has been distinguished with several prizes, and he is part of several editorial boards in reference journals in his areas of expertise .

Patrícia Rijo
|
Secretary and Treasurer of ALIES. She has been an assistant professor (ECTS-ULHT) since 2001 (fields related to Chemistry) and is a member of the Scientific Council. Graduation in Chemistry (FCUL), Masters and PhD in Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Chemistry (FFUL). Her research focuses on the areas of Natural Product Chemistry. She has published more than 40 articles in international journals, more than 100 communications and has 2 patents registered. She is the Scientific Director for Communication and External Relations of CBIOS, coordinator of the FSP group and is general secretary of SPFito and a member of the Phytochemical Society of Europe and the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (GA). She is a member of the COST Action CM1407 and the CYTED Program: 115RT0488. She collaborates with several research centers: iMed.ULisboa, CQB-FCUL, REQUIMTE, IBEB-FCUL, CSIC (Spain), Institute for Biological Research "Sinia Stankovic" (Serbia), Istituto Nazionale Malattie Infettive (Italy) and Karolinska Institutet (Sweden).

Founder and Chairman of the General Assembly of ALIES PhD in History, Master in Enonomics, Graduated in Sociology and Bachelor in Social Politics. Regarded as one of the progenitors of the private high education system in Portugal (U Livre, U Autonoma), he is the founder and CEO of Grupo Lusófona, created in 1994/95, which includes several universities, technical and professional schools in Portugal and in the Portuguese speaking countries universe. |

Ana Sofia Fernandes |
Secretary and Rapporteur of the Supervisory Board Ana Fernandes graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2004 and finished her PhD in Pharmacy (specialty of Toxicology) in 2010. She is currently the coordinator of the Pharmacology and Therapeutics group of CBIOS and is also an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Universidade Lusófona (ECTS-ULHT). She is the vice-president of the scientific council of ECTS-ULHT. Her expertise is mainly in the fields of pharmacology and toxicology, as well as in cell culture techniques.
